Skyler Adolfi, MS, LCMHCA
“I help couples and individuals navigate life after loss.”
I work with adults, young adults, and couples navigating relationship challenges, grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-esteem. I’m especially passionate about creating a space where you feel seen, supported, and safe enough to explore what you’re experiencing without judgment.
Life changes, loss, and relationship difficulties can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself or the people who matter most to you. I enjoy helping individuals navigate these difficult seasons and working with couples who are experiencing ongoing conflict, disconnection, or the impact of infidelity. Together, we can better understand what’s happening, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work toward meaningful change.
My approach to therapy is supportive and collaborative. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, grief support, and couples therapy based on your individual needs and goals. I have also completed Levels 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, which helps guide my work with couples who want to improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen their connection.
I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York, in 2025. I’m originally from Upstate New York and recently made the move to Wilmington, North Carolina.
