Breakthrough in a Day:
EMDR Intensives at the Coast

Deep healing without the months-long wait.

What if you could do 2 months of therapy… in just one day?

Some wounds are too deep for surface-level fixes. Whether it’s the heartbreak of betrayal, the grip of childhood trauma, or feeling “stuck” in patterns you can’t shake, weekly therapy can feel like inching up a mountain.

An EMDR Intensive is different. It’s a full-day deep dive into the root of your pain — think surgery instead of weekly physical therapy. We get in, address the core issues, and give your brain the space and momentum to truly heal.

Why One Day Works Better

Accelerated Healing – In a single day, we cover the ground it might take 6–8 weeks to reach in traditional therapy.
Laser Focus – No waiting 7 days between sessions to pick up where we left off. We stay in the work, uninterrupted.
Less Emotional Wear-and-Tear – Instead of repeatedly reopening wounds over weeks, we process them in one sustained flow.
More Than “Talk” Therapy – EMDR targets the brain’s memory storage system to help you process trauma so it stops running your life.

Perfect For You If…

● You’re already in therapy but keep bumping into the same old wound — and you know it’s time to face it head-on.
● You’ve experienced a recent betrayal and need to stabilize and process so you can move forward.
● You’ve carried childhood trauma into your adult relationships and want to finally break the cycle.
● You’re ready for relief, clarity, and emotional freedom now — not months from now

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy backed by over 30 years of research and recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for treating PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.

Here’s what makes it different:
● Targets the Root Cause, Not Just Symptoms – EMDR helps your brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer trigger the same emotional and physical reactions.
● Uses Bilateral Stimulation – Gentle eye movements, tapping, or sounds activate both sides of the brain, helping “unstick” memories and store them in a healthier way.
● Less Talking, More Processing – You don’t have to rehash every detail of your trauma — your brain does the work, and you stay in control the whole time.

Why Intensives Are So Effective

While weekly EMDR sessions can be powerful, they’re interrupted by daily life, scheduling gaps, and reactivation of triggers between visits. An intensive format changes the game:
● Keeps You in the Processing Zone – You don’t have to rebuild emotional momentum each week; we stay in it until we’re done.
● Accelerates Breakthroughs – Condensing the work into a single day can help your nervous system complete the healing loop faster.
● Research-Backed Efficiency – Studies show EMDR intensives can lead to faster symptom reduction and longer-lasting results

What the Research Says

Rapid Results: A 2018 study in the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research found that 92% of participants with PTSD showed significant symptom reduction after just three 90-minute EMDR sessions — demonstrating how quickly EMDR can create change.
Intensive Advantage: Research published in Frontiers in Psychology (2021) showed that EMDR delivered in intensive formats led to faster recovery and lower dropout rates compared to weekly therapy.
Long-Lasting Relief: Follow-up studies indicate that EMDR’s benefits are maintained or even improved months and years after treatment, especially when trauma processing is completed in a concentrated period.

Bottom line: Intensives aren’t just faster — they can be more effective, with benefits that stick.

Intro to EMDR Therapy

Explaining EMDR

“I came in for a one-day intensive thinking we’d just scratch the surface. By the end of the day, I felt like I’d been given my life back. I was able to connect with my spouse in a way I hadn’t in years — because I finally understood what was holding me back.”
